Summary of the event

In November, the 10 PhD students of GlyCanDrug attended the third networking-wide event. This is the time to share collaborative results and plan the preparation of joint manuscripts!

The program is full of scientific and soft-skills training opportunities! As in Porto, PhD students presented his/her results to the DCPC for evaluation of the advancements they did so far. Each talk was followed by an open discussion with all the supervisors and members of the consortium. The scientific workshop was focused on topics related to the structure and function of the target enzymes, along with an overview of potential inhibitors available so far and bioanalytical and cell-based methodologies to screen inhibitors. The soft-skills program was intense too. PhD students had the opportunity to have a look at the post-doctoral EU opportunities and to learn how to write a successful research proposal!

The round table cannot be missed! PhD students had the opportunity to discuss with experts from both academia and industry about: Be the protagonist of your future!
